How much data is required to download the app?


The KaChing Parking app is between 20MB and 50MB depending on the device you use. After you've downloaded the app, each transaction also uses very little data (about the same amount as a single Whatsapp message).


How much will it cost me?


You can use KaChing at no additional charge, you only pay the normal parking fee as you would have otherwise!


Will it work on my phone?


The KaChing Parking app is available for Apple iPhones and smartphones that run Android operating software. BlackBerry phones, Zest, Windows and feature phones are not currently supported.


What if I don't have a credit card?


The KaChing Parking app accepts cheque cards as well.


How do I download KaChing?


If you're an avid app collector, then you'll find us in no time on your phone's app store. Alternately, visit our home page for direct links to the Apple Store and Google Play platform of the KaChing Parking app. If this doesn't work, we suggest you phone a friend - in this case our lovely client service assistants, who will gladly guide you through the process.


Once downloaded you are almost on your way to #CashlessParkingDelights - just follow the in app instructions to create your account.


Can I register more than one vehicle?


Whether you are being generous enough to pay for your wife's parking, or have one car for the weekdays and another for the weekends - you can add as many cars as you'd like to your account.


Can I register a motorcycle?


To ensure your continued #CashlessParkingDelights are just that, we implemented advanced number plate recognition software which allows for high quality performance at your convenience. This means our software will not be able to recognize the following:

  1. Illegal number plates
  2. Motorcycle number plates unless your motorcycle has a number plate in the front


How do I pay?


When setting up your account on the KaChing Parking app, you will be given the option to link you credit or cheque card as a monthly subscriber which includes unlimited usage, or as a pay-as-you-park subscriber which is purchased in prepaid bundles and used per transaction.

a) Credit Card Users

Simply register your credit or cheque card on the KaChing app. When you leave the parking area your card will be charged for the normal parking fee applicable to the amount of time you spent and where it is.

b) Prepaid Users

Prepaid bundles are purchased within the app by using your credit or cheque card to “Top Up” your account. Once you exit a parking area, the normal parking fee is deducted from your prepaid balance until it is depleted. You will get notifications that you need to top up when your balance gets low.


What happens at parking entrances and exits?


Upon arrival at the entrance your license plate is scanned and a parking transaction automatically opened. The app will send a notification to your smartphone, informing that the registered vehicle is currently parked. Once you're ready to leave, skip the queue and simply drive to the exit where your license plate is once again scanned and the boom opened.


How do I change my payment information?


To remove current banking details:

  1. Go to your KaChing app.
  2. On the menu, select Cards.
  3. Choose your card to edit.
  4. Tap on the Edit/Delete button to remove the card.

To add new banking details:

  1. Go to your KaChing app.
  2. On the menu, select Cards.
  3. Tap on the Add button.
  4. You should now be able to fill in, or scan, your card details.
  5. Tap on Save.


How do I add/remove vehicles?


To remove an existing vehicle:

  1. Go to your KaChing app.
  2. On the menu, select Cars.
  3. Choose your car to edit.
  4. Tap on the Edit/Delete button to remove the car.

To add new/another vehicle:

  1. Go to your KaChing app.
  2. On the menu, select Cars.
  3. Tap on the Add button.
  4. You should now be able to fill in your car details.
  5. Tap on Save.


How do I know if I am parking with KaChing?


As a Kaching Parking Made Easy user, you should receive push notifications on your mobile phone. (subject to individual settings on your mobile phone)

Alternatively, log into your KaChing app. At the top of the page select "Notifications". Here you are able to track your KaChing parking. You are also able to view your current parking balance and the time you have been parked with KaChing.


I am a member of Virgin Active at Melrose Arch, can I use KaChing and still get my 2 hours free?


All KaChing users can now validate their parking at the Virgin Active terminal and still get your daily 2 hours free!

  1. Go to the ticket validation terminal inside of Virgin Active.
  2. On the Terminal Screen you can find the KaChing logo followed by a barcode.
  3. Simply go to the KaChing app on your mobile phone. Select the QR scanner on the top right of your screen. Scan the barcode on the Virgin Active terminal, your parking has now been made easy and you can exit the parking station using KaChing.
